The shrine serves as a memorial to women who throughout history have had to live through the questionable “healing” methods and diagnoses for hysteria of past times and to educate about the history of hysteria and how it still affects women until today - the basket is filled with absurd excerpts from the history of hysteria on rolled stripes of paper.
