Photo series for the exhibition "a body to take" at Kunsttankstelle Ottakring 2024
In the exhibition “a body to take”, Graz-based artists Maria Schneider, Paul Lässer, Fabian Terler and Belinda Winkler, whose shared working environment is the Kunstverein ROTER KEIL, unite superficialities whose environments range from acidic to alkaline. These feel good or itch a little, have a consistency, have color and sometimes need a callus rasp or sunscreen.
The dynamics between the environment and the being are examined, with the works drawing their own conclusions. In this framework, the body is understood as a situation to be conquered, as a place to be occupied, as a life to be inhabited, and as a means of recognizing oneself as a subject.
